Gwynette Hatcher
Gwynette Hatcher has worked with Doug Shorter Property Management, Inc. as a Property Manager since January of 1992. She stays busy with volunteer activities through the Association For The Blind since 1967, with SC/NC Beeper Ball and with Crisis Ministries. She is a member of the Charleston Chapter of the American Council of the Blind, Eastern Star, Lady Bel-Air, Achieve Wheelchair Equality, Ladies Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Association and Milcah Temple #77 Daughters of the Nile. She currently attends St. Mark United Methodist Church and is a member of the Diane Moseley Circle United Methodist Women and serves as Lay Pastor. Gwynette is the 916th recipient of the President Bush Point of Light, was named Woman of the Year through the Sertoma Club, has received the Marvin Lowe Award with the American Council of the Blind and has been named Volunteer of the Year with the Association of the Blind. She is a Past Worthy Matron of Loyalty 136OES. Gwynette lives in West Ashley with her husband, Richard. She has five children and three grandchildren. She enjoys canning and reading. Her life philosophy is to look for the good in everyone and to lend a hand to the less fortunate when possible.
